My in Flight Essentials

I feel pattern occurring here, I am going to apologise for the lack of blog content lately. I have the obvious excuses work, university etc, but honestly it was more a case of writers block (bloggers block). Anyway enough of the excuses, I'M BACK!

Wow, I often check up on my blog, even when I'm not posting, just to see if there's anything new and today when I signed in there was, my blog views shot up! I'm so unbelievably grateful for every single person who reads, comments of even just clicks on my blog to have a nose at who I am. So THANKYOU! THANKYOU! THANKYOU!

Now lets move on to the more interesting stuff, it's that time of year where the majority of people are planning there summer holidays and I'm no exception to that. I thought that I would share with you my in flight travel essentials and also a few tips.

Firstly, airlines tend to give a luggage allowance of between 5kg-7kg and so many people don't take advantage of this. My first tip is to use that extra allowance, you can put your shoes or perhaps a change of clothes for when you land so you don't have to unpack before you hit the pool or beach.

Obviously ensure you have the serious essentials; passport, plane ticket, insurance information, phone, house keys and a phone charger as well as any other valuables in your hand luggage as this will prevent loss or damage. You could pop these in a separate wallet inside your bag for easy and fast access.

So what will always be on me during a flight?

  • A scarf or jacket, aeroplanes are freezing cold and even if you are flying to the hottest country you will need one of these.
  • A hair brush, a compact mirror and a lip balm (lipstick). - gotta keep beautiful.
  • My iPod or iPhone (in flight mode O/C) and some headphones. - including chargers for everything!
  • Book or magazine, just to keep you occupied.
  • I usually buy this from Duty Free at the airport but a perfume or body spray as flights can be long and body odours can happen.
  • Sunglasses. - got to protect those eyes!
  • Snacks and a drink - in the UK I'm pretty sure you cannot take your own snacks or drinks with you on a flight so I tend to buy these in the airport as plane food is horrible and very over priced.
  • Hand sanitiser - no germs for me please!

This is all I can think of right now, please if there is something you find essential tell me in the comments below, I'm always up for over packing everything!

Also where are you going on holiday/vacation this year?

This is where I'm going, any guesses where it is?

January Favourites

Okay so I haven't been the best blogger lately, but that's because Uni has been sucking the energy out of me! It's exhausting! This is post is a few items I have been loving throughout January, granted a little late, but better late than never aye!

Okay so first up is make-up;
I haven't really experimented with skin care at all this month but I have added a new priming product to my daily routine in the form of Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. Some have said this is a dupe for the Benefit Pore-fessional and I have to agree, the only difference is that this is a clear formula. Baby Skin gives me a flawless finish and helps keep my foundation on for that little longer.

Next is two eye products I have wore almost every single day since I bought them in December, they are the MAC Shadows in Naked Lunch & Satin Taupe. The work beautifully together, I mostly love this combinations as it can be worn sooo natural and then can be layered for dramatic look. They're perfect! Rimmel do a great dupe for Satin Taupe if anyone wondered.

I have been pairing these shadows with the best mascara I have tried, it's honestly brilliant! Two coats of this and you will have spider lashes, the mascara I am talking about is of course the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Super Volume in Superjet Black.

Now and again I like to pair the natural shadow duo with a strong lip and I have been loving the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Salone Square, it a beautiful moisturising deep purple with a flattering gloss and acceptable staying power. The pigmentation is brilliant and the scent isn't awful. I just love it, it's perfect!

I do have a few random favourites but I suck and forgot to take pictures of them so I will list them for you all instead;

  • Cadburys Cream Eggs
  • Over the Knee Boots
  • Pasta, any pasta, any time of the day.
  • Volvic a Touch of Strawberry Water

Do you have opinions of the products mentioned?
What are your favourite products of January?
Can you suggest some products which I can try throughout February?

National Television Awards 2014

WARNING this blog post does include some very poor iPhone 5 quality photos!

On the 22nd of January I was able to attend the National Television Awards in the O2 arena, London.

The stage!

What I wore

My head has been cropped as apparently I can't take a serious photograph

Shoes - South (can only find the glitter version online, mine were suede).

My make- up

The only photograph i took where you can see my makeup close up. My eye brows are no where near as thick as they look on this picture by the way! It must be the lighting

Close up of the lipstick, it's a beautiful super deep purple.

Best Dressed

Georgia May Foote
Abbey Clancy
Jacqueline Jossa
Michelle Keegan
Katie McGlynn

The more questionable outfit choices

Rachel Wilde
Catherine Tyldesley
Jennifer Metcalfe

My favourite thing about award season is looking at all the style choices the celebrities make, I know it's naughty to judge but you just can't help it! All the celebrities made an effort, just some did it better than others in my opinion. Who wore you favourite outfit?

Any questions about the National Television Awards?
Did you agree with all the winners?
Any highlights? (if you watched it of course)

Lasting Finish by Kate Moss - My Top 3

Hello there!

As most people would have realised by now Rimmel is one of the leading Drug store brands, the products are highly pigmentation and of great quality. For a while now Kate Moss has had her own lipstick line, Lasting Finish, they are all incredible. Right?

I have tried and tested most of this range and have managed to narrow it down to my top 3!

Okay so at number 3 is....

This is shade 20! A beautiful vibrant pink which I wore to death throughout the poor British Summer.

At number 2 is....

Shade 03! This is the most perfect nude! I wear this on those days wear I either have a heavy eye make-up or I am simply having a lazy day.

And the WINNER is....

Shade 107 - Wine! The singly most beautiful deep matte red I have ever laid my eyes on! This lipstick does not move from my lips at all throughout the day ( touching up only after eating ) it is so so flattering and I am nearly out which is sad!

I recommend the Kate Moss Lasting Finish lipsticks to everyone out there, they retail at £5.49 which is a barging for the quality!

I would also like to say that yes these are not new lipsticks and they have been on the market for quite a while but I just can't resit giving them a cheeky shout out!

Have you tried these lipsticks before? What was your favourite shade?
